Alex Cyr is a St. FX alumnus and a current graduate student at the University of Windsor in Ontario. His background is in kinesiology and psychology, although his true passions are running (which he does when he’s restless and cannot write) and writing (which he does when he is injured and cannot run). In that vein, Alex is a writer with new endurance sports media firm WELLE Stories, and writes freelance with Canadian Running Magazine and U Sports. He has interviewed several Olympic distance runners, including Eric Gillis, Melissa Bishop, and Reid Coolsaet.
The Abram-Village, Prince Edward Island native has lots of published writing, but he also has an enormous repertoire of unreleased work; partly due to a lack of effort on the publishing front and partly because nobody would want to read it. This list includes - but is not limited to - his undergraduate thesis, Ferg and his Girl 1, and Ferg and his Girl 2, and probably his graduate thesis, whenever that comes out.
As an avid blogger (alexcyrruns.blogspot.com) and mediocre singer-songwriter, Alex spends most of his time chasing Angus Rawling’s personal bests. This is his first book.
